Houston
Not sure what to say. Life is grim for many, but there is hope. And then again, it's easy for me to say that.
Some of these folks I'm interviewing have seen true horrors. Most have nothing left. Others don't know where the rest of their families are.
There is no reason for me to complain about anything.
All I can do is my job, for which I am grateful.

Thank you for doing it, Heather. There is no way I would be able to do what you are doing without either going into an absolute rage and throwing things at officials from all levels or just breaking down and crying for hours. I'm doing enough of that as it is. Okay, maybe not really throwing things at people, but certainly at their smug images on the television.
Is there anything the rest of us should be doing, in addition to donating money and goods? I've donated at work, donated at home, I'm donating blood on Tuesday, but I still feel empty and helpless and think there is something else I'm supposed to be doing. How can we best help those people who need us?
Hope you write a blog post about it.
