Two things

#1- Last night two friends, Amy and I all went to an Orioles game. We watched the Seattle Mariners trounce the O's. I saw my first ever grand slam and my first ever rain delay.

The weirdest thing, though, was where our seats were. Our friends got the seats way up in the bleachers over the left field. Much of the upper deck was empty...except our area. We got the four available seats directly in the center of about 400 to 500 first year cadets at the Naval Academy. Al in their dress whites - hats and all. It was surreal. We moved over a section just to stay out of their way, but then it started raining and they all moved up around us again to get under the roof.

The funniest part came later in the evening when whomever in the stadium that controls the music on the PA system started playing "Anchors Aweigh." We all now know what it's like to be seated right smack in the middle of 400 to 500 Naval Academy cadets all standing at attention singing "Anchors Aweigh" at the top of their lungs. It was pretty amusing. The entire stadium gave them a standing ovation.

I kept asking Amy how much I'd have to pay her to get her to yell "Go Army, beat Navy!" while we were sitting there. She said at least $500.

#2- If you'd like to see me do improv, you'll be happy to know that my troupe ( called "Gus," and we're part of the Baltimore Improv Group) performed last Saturday night at our first ever Baltimore Improv Festival - and we filmed it. And it's now online. So, go grab some snacks, turn up your headphones and click here to watch our 23 minute set.
