Reasons given when my commuter train has been late going to or from work:
-Rain
-Snow
-Ice
-Too hot
-Too cold
-Someone walked in front of the train while it was leaving the station
-Not enough staff
-Amtrak
-Signal problems
-Switch problems
-Debris on the tracks
-Deer on the tracks
-The doors won't open
-The doors won't close
I know this list will grow with time, but that's just 5 and 1/2 months' worth of excuses right there.

I say if the door doesn't close, y'all just ride Boxcar Willie style and hope no one falls out. Is that not acceptable? Oh, public transportation. How woefully inadequate you can be in this country.
haha! That's similar to United canceling flights due to "weather....somewhere"!
